About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Annals of Spiru Haret Veterinary Medicine Series is an international, open access, peer reviewed journal that brings out research in the related fields of Veterinary Medicine: animal health, food hygiene and public health, pharmacy, pharmaceutical marketing, veterinary livestock. Articles published in our journal include original research papers, case reports, concise reviews, editorial commentary, letters and papers devoted to continuing scientific and professional development in the field of veterinary medicine.

Peer Review Process

The quality of research work done by the authors will be evaluated by submitting to one or more scientific reviewers of similar competence of the same field of work, that contribute in peer review system. The peer review is mandatory and the type of review is single blind – reviewer identity hidden from the author, reviewer knows the identity of the authors or double blind – both reviewer and author remain anonymous to each other. Unaccepted papers in the initial form, are returned to the authors for revision. The Reviewer is selected by the Section Editor to review a submission. Reviewers are asked to submit reviews to the journal’s web site or opt for an email review policy and are able to upload attachments for the use of the Editor and Author. Reviewers may be rated by Section Editors.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

The Annals of Spiru Haret University – Veterinary Medicine Series was founded in 2000, in Romanian language, as representative publication for the Faculty Of Veterinary Medicine. Since 2007, this publication appears only in English, with annual appearance, uninterrupted to the present.
