Professor of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at Spiru Haret University (since 2002) and in parallel, senior researcher at National Scientific Research Institute for Labour and Social Protection (since 1995). She holds a Ph.D in Management (Labor economics) at the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest. Coordinator, author and co-author of 17 books (manuals, studies published in the framework of the research projects ). Author and co-author of over 50 articles published in academic journals, magazines, proceedings of international scientific events.

She acted as a consultant, expert for a number of  international and national agencies, such as World Bank, European Commission, MEN, UEFISCDI.

Director of 10 national and international research projects and member of the team in more than 25 research projects financed by PNCDI-II-Parteneriate, RELANSIN, ORIZONT, Sectoral, World Bank, Leonardo da Vinci, Phare Vet, ESF Programs. Her research broadly focuses on the economics, labor market, education.

She is member in the Scientific Committee of International Conferences and member of editorial board of Journals.
